New Year’s Revolution

Well it is a new year. 2023 is here and it’s time to make all those New Year’s resolutions. Some resolve to lose weight or workout more or this or that. My resolution for 2023 is to get our physical church started. To move the ministry from just online to in person in the local community.

While it is great to make New Year’s resolutions to better yourself and your family what we need as Christians is a New Year’s revolution. We need to take our country and our world back to Godly ways. But we also need to bring the churches back to God and away from the worldly ways. We, as Christians, need to stand up and fight for God and for a more Godly world.

I know I talk about this subject a lot but it is a message that God gives me a lot. It is an important one…if not the MOST important one for todays Christians. The world is resorting back to the times of Babylon, Ancient Greece, and Sodom and Gamorrah. People may not be worshipping golden calves but they are putting many “gods” before the one true God. People now worship and are ruled by money, fame, gambling, control, porn, sex, and on and on. And yes even Christians are putting many things before God such as “political correctness” and “acceptance” just to name a couple.

We have an entire generation that grew up without prayer in the schools or the Ten Commandments in the public square. We have gone from tv not being able to show a married couple in the same bed or a woman’s belly button to tv glorifying premarital sex, adultery, and nudity right there in prime time. Kids have gone from morning prayer to “drag queen story hour” in school. Companies now use sex to sell their product and “inclusiveness” to sell more of it. Good has become bad and bad has become good.

God has been pushed out of the schools, out of tv, out of movies, out of the workplace, out of the stores, and even out of the homes. Children now grow up not knowing God because the world has replaced Him with the idea that you can be your own god, “If it feels good it can’t be wrong”, and “if you don’t believe like I do then you are homophobic, a racist, or just plain wrong”.

All of this corrupting the world and turning it from God and Christians have just let it happen. We fear retribution and ridicule instead of God’s judgement. Even churches are changing their interpretation of scripture to be more inclusive and not offend anyone. We need a revival in this nation and this world. We need to let our voices be heard! We need to speak up without being worried about retribution or name calling. We need to bring this world back to God before it is too late!

Stand up! Speak up! Stand firm! Stand strong. You are a Christian. Now act like it!

“Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:14-15 NIV
